BALDWYN – Dalton Eugene “Gene” Prentice, 85, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at his residence. He was born May 28, 1926 to Lawrence and Bertha Holmes Prentice. He was a retired barber, and Justice Court Judge. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Baldwyn, he was a 32nd Degree Mason, and an Army Veteran of WW II.
Gene was a friend to all that came in contact with him. My parents lived in the house with Gene and Ruby when they first married. Gene was a Barber in my grandaddy's Barber shop and a friendship was established between our families that lasted a lifetime. An easy laugh and a joking manner was his way.
